Emma
Emma
Hi, I’m Emma and I am the founder of Pregnancy to Parenthood and class teacher at the Horsham branch. I am a qualified midwife, hypnobirthing teacher, birth trauma practitioner and trainee psychotherapist. I set up Pregnancy to Parenthood because I wanted women to have access to full length antenatal classes that prepare couples realistically for all aspects of labour, birth, feeding and the early days with the newborn. I wanted to create honest classes taught by real midwives who want to prepare couples for all aspects of what to expect, what your rights are, how to have conversations with health professionals and how to promote optimal birth whilst understanding that sometimes things can and do change. Our aim is to prepare for any changes that may occur along the way to take away the element of surprise and fear that many couples have faced before. As I always say it is not how you give birth that matters, it is how you felt about it.
